Last week
the University launched Entrepreneurship Week, designed to help students
develop their enterprise skills that are crucial within the world of work.
During the week we had 6 employers from
a diverse range of business, contribute to a panel discussion event, deliver a keynote speech, deliver a workshop on how to design
a business and a employability trek where students went off campus to visit a
start-up.
Employers included HSBC, PwC and a social enterprise, Palastyle (a business that empowers refuge women).
“It was great for me to see a different side entrepreneurship that I did not previously understand and care about. Now I might just become a social entrepreneur”
In total 42% of the student population at University of Birmingham Dubai attended throughout the week (Exluding PGCE and part-time students).
