Time to Dance! BUDS Annual Dance Show

I had the pleasure of watching Birmingham University Dance Society’s annual dance show,

Time to Dance!

With an array of incredible talent, including Irish, ballet, tap, hip hop, contemporary, commercial, modern and jazz, the UoB dancers definitely dazzled us all.

The show clearly took incredible organisation, planning and creativity. The dancers had been practising for the show all term, and the incredibly hardworking and dedicated BUDS committee thought of everything, including selling sweets for charity, a snapchat filter and a stunning disco ball.

Sarah Carlyon, third year Law & Criminology student who performed tap and ballet in the show said:

"It was so much fun getting to work towards a goal with everyone. The committee put in so much hard work to organise it and make it happen, along with 300 UoB dancers too!"

The music choices were also fantastic and had the audience ooh-ing and ah-ing. There was something for everyone - from Highway to Hell to Dream Girls… from Chicago to Fame… Britney to Gwen Stefani… the production certainly put a smile on everyone’s face and made us all feel like getting up and having a boogie ourselves.

A huge congratulations to BUDS for their hard work!
