How to set up a website

Part of Global Entertrepreneurship week, this workshop provided and introduction to making your own website. Would you like to start your own website but don't know where to start?

A beginner's guide to starting your own website, it was about gaining tips on how to create exciting web pages.  Participants left this session with a free webpage or even their very own www website.

Marcus, eLearning and Multimedia manager at Careers Network provided a broader picture, and then a step by step guide to setting up a website, help buying a domain name (www address) and tips how to create exciting webpages and blog posts.

'It's all about taking control of your own identity online, and not letting other people do it for you.  There's no big cost, in time or money, and it could make a big difference to people's impression of you, your business, or anything you do.'

Global Entrepreneurship Week is 16 - 22 November

    1. Thanks Man Wang. You can get one-to-one support at a Social Media Surgery (see notes), which would probably better guide you through specific steps to create the website you want. I hope you had enough from workshop to get you started.
